Mantis/Manitou trackless twin-boom drill rig

This highly specialised mining equipment drills, bolts, bores, installs wire mesh and roof supports, and helps laying charges for underground blasting. Its unique feature is its ability to operate electrically while underground, which significantly lowers fuel consumption as well as emissions.

Manitou has designed the tyre handler attachment to work with telehandlers to change large mining equipment’s tyres – such as on dump trucks, LHDs and other utility vehicles. 5 telehandler models are available for tyre handling with capacities ranging from 8 tons to 22.5 tons.
